Carley Gomez is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Missouri where she studies speculative fiction and border literature. Her creative work is concerned with multiplicity of identities and the intergenerational consequences of colonialism. Her fiction has appeared in Mud Season Review, Passages North, Mid-American Review, and elsewhere. Her collaborative artist book, Playing House, is held in collection at The University of Arizona Poetry Center and The Joan Flash Artists Book Collection. She has an MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona.
