Artist Statement
As a Cuban-American artist from a border state, I seek to unravel binaries and complexify identity. This complexity is reflected in my multimedia approach manifesting in books, collages and paintings. Inspired by posthuman theory, I aim to decenter the self by using found images, chance operations and collaborative methods.
